Yesterday was the 3rd wettest 24 hrs on record in Des Moines. 4.53 inches added with the day before , 7.3 inches fell in the last two days.

Corn hit $7.85 yesterday This 12 inch rain landed directly on the buckle of the corn belt.  But this isn't a single event.

Montana got a years worth rain in two weeks in May, it just rained another 5 inches at Round-Up , Montana.

It rained 4.8 inches in an hour in China this week.

It rained 300MM (1 foot) there yesterday in 4 hours.

La Nina was nowhere to be seen.
